Two days worth of work...

Postby Wing Nut » Fri May 21, 2004 10:15 pm

How does this seem to everyone?  All I can say is it took forever to get this good and I DO NOT want to do it again!  In the second shot you can see I am still having trouble with that corner of the cockpit opening for some reason.  I tried the smoothing technique mentioned by Felix, and it had quite a bit of success, but these two little bits just don't want to cooperate.  Perhaps I can mask them with the windscreen.

So, any suggestions where I may have improved?

Excellent work.

I'm suspecting a doubled-up polygon or something.

Can you send me by e-mail the *.fsp for that outer fuselage part?

Listen to Felix...if anyone knows about twisted polys it's him!

Looking at it, it seems to maybe be a non-planar poly to me...it has that "pinched" look that they get.

Great work so far btw. :)

I suppose I did go a bit overboard, but the actual number of poly's aren't what you'd think.  I suppose I could lose about half of the vertical spars and still look good.  If I have my way, the whole cockpit is going to be a LOT more detailed than this.

Felix, I would love to e-mail this thing to you., I'll get it out today.  Thanks!  8)
