This weekend I'll work on an updated tutorial for FSDS - quick and dirty way to make a "Katana" (using the images that come with FSDS.

Of course, this one will have retractable gear - for animation purposes, and is not intended to be a faithful and accurate representation.

I dont see how to shape tubes and stuff to make it look like a specific aircraft's fuselage. i think it may have something to do with the "Dot" mode, but i dunno.

If you have a structured cylinder in FSDS:

Typcially I'll align the tube along the Z axis, and create as many cross-sections as I have main "features",

In cross section mode, I'll then scale the individual cross sections to the gross dimensions, and in point mode, select and scale individual or groups of points.  I'll alternate with moving the points of the cross-section in cross-section mode.

It sounds more complicated than it really is.  I hope to demonstrate it in the Katana tutorial.
