well, im working on a project for now...im on the last stages of the VC and i'd like to know how can i animate a control stick much like the mustang's or spitfire's... a fighter kind of stick.... i know the yoke trick but i was wondering if there was one that worked with the whole piece moving it all 4 directions.... IvanHsu's I-16's have this feature.... wat is it? im using FSDS2.*

Most universal method would be to make a stick with it's pivot at the bottom. Label this stick and animate it as an aileron. Make a parent part labelled and animated as an elevator. This parent can be heirarchy only (no drawn geometry), and would also be at the bottom of the stick. For best results make both pivot points the same.

This method  works in all sims (to my knowledge) and is the only workable method for CFS 2. If you use keyframe animation option instead of the raw animations you can better control the amount of movement you get as a result of animation.

you tag the segond stick lever stick l_r you animate him left right 50% midle then you attach it to the lever stick aft  !

Woody, most "lever_X" animations will not work in CFS 2...in fact they will cause CFS 2 to crash.

The methos you described will certainly work in FS9, but I decided to describe the more primitive method because Space Ace is building a fighter type plane. This gives a good chance of a CFS version to be released.

True enough...probably better with the elevator as the stick and the aileron fitted where applicable. Should have remembered that from the WACO, big yoke with a wheel for ailerons.
