Hi
I want to know which is the best way to build in gmax the wingpod (the part of the fuselaje where wings attach to it and bays for l and r gear are ) of a jet airliner:
a) a line -> extrude -> 4-5 segments, then scale uniform each segment ?
b) a box ?
c) a cilinder ?
Please help me and give some detail
Thank you.

ooh, that a tough one... it's probably the hardest part of the external model

what i did for my 737 was to use a cylinder that i shaped as the the wingpod, and then welded it to the fuselage, of course it required a lot of vertex pushing untill i got the shape of it just right

here's how it looks:

you can see where i welded the cylinder to the fuselage

hope this gives you an idea of where to start ;)

Thanks for the answer.
I will try your way...  :)

But what do you think about a loft, you know, a shape and a line (a compound object)...?
