Try this.
- iff the effect is offcentre, then adjust the second [smokesystem] parameter for longitudinal front-to-back, or the third for lateral side-to-side correction.
- there is a bug in FS2002 which means that the first parameter, the vertical up-and-down correction doesn't work (this might have been fixed in FS9 - don't know), no matter how much you change it. To alter this, you have to go into the associated .fx file (in the FS 'effects' folder) and adjust the Y offset value in the 'emitter' section. (You can open the .fx files using Notepad, just like the .cfg files - but take a backup first!)
- by experimenting with the .fx file structure, you can 'build' different effects, including flame and smoke. Send me an instant message with your email address and I'll send you a sample of what you can do with it.
