Cargo Door Problem

Hello, again.

Using FSDS2, trying to animate a cargo door here is what I have done.

1) I have created a door for cargo.
2) I have it named door_cargo
3) Keyframe 0 set as closed, 100 set as open.

Should work right?  Using E+2-4 in FS9 has no affect.  If I name the door as door_passenger it (the animation) works fine.

Am I missing anything else.  I've been having great success with my animations so far, so I may be overlooking operator error.

Thanks for your time,

Joe

The proper key sequence for cargo doors is:
shift+e, release and quickly press 2.

If this isn't working always, you are not alone.  On heavy loads, many times the sim will not see the 2 when depressed, usually because of gauge load.

Try this.  Go to Spot view.  Close the sim.
Open the sim and select Previous flight.
Now try the shift+e, 2 sequence.
Usually this will work as you haven't opened and panels and gauges yet.

Milton,

I know what the key sequence is, since I remapped it (sorry I didn't specify before) for me, it's just "E", my bust... anyway, your point is the heavy sim load, it's a new aircraft and I haven't built gauges yet. And yes I have it set up to auto load (default flight) in spot view.  I've only built one model (no VirtCockpit).  Any other ideas? Anyone?

Thanks for the input,

Joe

Did you specify the correct numer of exits in the aircraft.cfg file? Also, make sure you have selected an "exit rate".

Look at the default B737-400 cfg for a good example.
