"glazed" nose

Anybody have any tips for making a "glazed" ( or was it "glased"?) in Gmax with spars. Like the B-25 or the He-111, they both have nosez of glass, with many metal bars ( spars i think it's called) on them. I would appreciate some help with this :)

Thanks,

Mike

In gmax, it's relatively easy.

Shape your nose so that your edges/segments line up with the framing.

select the edges and then chamfer just a tad (experiment with the value).

That gives you your "frame".

For the glaze/glass - you can detach the polygons making the glassed areas and set the material transparency, etc. correctly.

Hmm, interesting, never thought of using the chamfer tool :) Thanks Felix ;D
