What the heck is happening NOW?

Whenever I try to export from Gmax right now, I get a message reading:

Unable to open the file named 'C:\Documents and Settings\Travis'.  It may be locked.

The problem is, there is no FILE named Travis in the Documents and Settings, however there is a folder with that name.  I have checked, and the folder seems to be unloacked, but there is also nothing in there that seems like it would affect Gmax's export module.

Everything in the module is set up correctly, as I have been exporting up until today and have changed nothing in the past few days, with the exception of adding a demo version of PSP 8.0 recently.

Anyone have any ideas?  I have tried everything I can think of, and it may end up being a complete reinstall of FS and Gmax, with a wipe of my current logon name to boot . . . :(

You might check in gmax, the Customize/Configure Paths to see if that path is listed.  If so, remove it.

mine did this after a reinstall of windows.

basically i sorted it by exporting directly to the flight sim folder (your aircrafts' model folder) or try exporting to just the root hard drive directory.
also use a nice short filename like "travis" or something.

its just one of gmax's gay flaws i think.

Well, I've tried these suggestions, but nothing seems to work.

Dan: I don't think I explained this well enough.  Whenever I try to export, I can enter the name in the location I want just fine.  The problem comes when I click save.  At that point the program decides it doesn't like something and then gives me an error message, no matter where I save it or what name I save it with.

I'm almost sure it has something to do with the settings on my laptop, but I have no idea since I haven't changed anything in the past few weeks and Gmax was working just fine before all this started.

I have tried reinstalling ALL my FS stuff, from the ground up and that didn't seem to do a damned thing.  I have also tried rooting around for the file is specifies when I get the error message, but I can't seem to find it. ???
