F-16C Fuselage

Ok, here's the story. I'm working on a payware F-16C ( No comments on the fact please ::) ) and i want to know what the best way is the start the fuselage. Obviously, this is a jet fighter, and it's not as simple as a commercial jet, with all those blended surfaces, etc. What i want to ask is what is the best way to start the fuselage. And what i mean is, should i make a cylinder in Gmax and then modify it to make the fuselage. Or should i use spline modeling to draw the fuselage-wing blended surfaces? I would really like some help on this one, it's my first jet fighter.

Thanks,

Mike :)

Okay, no comments on the (horrid!) fact . . . ;)

What I would do is create a cylinder and then shape it, then extrude the wing surfaces.

using a back drop drawing which includes fuselage sections is also very helpful in getting the right shape.
