Q:Are there any Streamline Tools in GMax ???

I just want to make the wings streamlined, aerodynamically shaped.
I'm always moving the vertices on the wings, but sometimes this is not very effective and efficient.
So I wonder whether there is such kind of tools in GMax.

???

There isn't a streamline tool per se.

One of the ways to build a wing shape is to create a spline in the aerodynamic shape you want and loft it along a path.

Check out Firestriker's wing making (and other) tutorials (links from the FFDS Tutorials page - http://www.freeflightdesign.com)

If the wing uses a standard type foil and you have that foil, create a planar, set it facing left or right at centerline of the aircraft.  Size the planar the length of the root chord.

Apply your foil texture to it filling the length of the planar, therefore the length of the root chord.

In either left or right view, create a box with as many segments as necessary to structure the wing curvature.  Convert the box to editable poly, then move each row of vertices until you have the box shaped per the wing foil.

Just one more of many ways to do the job.  :-)

Once done, repeat for the wing tip foil.

Thank you! Thank you!

I've found several gmax tutorials at those websites.
They're helpful. At least, they're much better than the P-38 tutorial of gmax!

Milton, I'll have a try.

I think I need a lot of practice. :)
