Hi all !
I put a part in my plane's VC,called pilot.view.But in FS this viewpoint is in an other position ( behind and above that I'd like ) .I tried to edit aircraft.cfg, but nothing happened. What's the problem? I am working with FSDS2

Firstly as you're probably aware, the view point is at the axis of the pilot.view part.
If I were you I'd note down the axis from the part properties box and take a look at the aircraft.cfg and compare the figures.
I personally prefer to manually adjust the position in Notepad and keep reloading the aircraft, but I've always done things the long fiddly way round! ;D
Good luck.

Sgt ZigZag,
They're working in FSDS2 and you're working with Gmax.

skyflirt -
do you have a pilot.view in your main model?
Is your pilot.view tagged as a reference part?
There is no problem if you move your vc model around a bit to "get" the eyepoint correct.

Also remember to check the "Process Reference Parts" option when you produce your project. This should automatically update the Aircraft.cfg entries.

How?
One of the standard rules for Aircraft Design Forum posting (this is a rule that applies to any of the Design Forums I moderate - including Simviation, FFDS, and flightsim.com) is that you are not allowed to post a "problem solved" message without revealing teh solution!
Thanks guys! I solved the problem

Thanks. Of course, compliance with that "rule" is completely voluntary, but it's still nice to know whether advice given works, or as in this case, the problem was something completely different!
