im trying to animate the bomb bay doors with the spoiler key, i tagged them, i picked the name from the keyframe animation tag list.... i added the keyframes and compiled but the thing is not working >:( i cant figure out whats wwroong!!! :'(

i checked the help file and it says that i have to add a pre process, but that is meant for actual spoilers, and i want the bomb bay doors to oopen when u hit the spoiler key :P

i cannot tag them as a moving canopy becasue i already have the canopy stuff animated.... :(

what can i do?!?!?  :-[

Rather than use the spoiler and keyframe method, have you tried using the 'lav dump valve' tag?

Make sure your axis' are lined up correctly, an it's animated between 0-100.

More info would be useful. Does the part not appear in fs, or just not move?

no, i havent tried that tag, and the part appears in CFS2 it just doesnt move :P

whats that tag for??? what key triggers it?

btw, i ried the bomb_bay tag and the cargo_door tag with no effect :P the axis are checked and in place, the part is animated between 1 & 100

if i add the tag u told me to, do i eed to add any pre process?

Hmm, this is odd.

I'm not that familiar with CFS2, but, from what you have described, it should work.

Why do you need to add a pre-process? Is this so the doors won't open on the ground?

#1 -Make sure that bomb_bay isn't remmed out (;) in your mdl_paramDict_cfs2.txt file (FSDS2 main directory)

#2 - Typically, you need a spoiler entry in the aircraft.cfg file.

#3 - If you're using the LDV, remember it's a water rudder, used with the Shift-W ket, but you need anb entry in the aircraft.cfg file.

i dont get the first one... :( elaborate please...  :-[

for the second one, what does a spoiler entry looks like??? (someone else did the CFG and i dont have an editor, only notepad :P )

and as far as i know, my bay doors have nothing o do with water rudders... (im faairly new to this animation bussiness so, i dont really undertand  :-X :-[ )

Felix, i checked on that whatever file and the bomb_bay tag does not have the little colon [;]

i have an entry on the CFG file that goes like this

[exits]
number_of_exits=1
exit_rate.0=0.4

I am having a simular problem. I looked in my FS2002 main directory for the mdl_paramDict_cfs2.txt file but cannot find it.  Could someone  direct me to it. I am trying to add swing wings to an aircraft for cfs2. I used the tags from the keyframe animation list, animated 0-100, worked fine in FSDS2 till I compiled it. I got an error message saying the 2 spoilers were not keyframe animation parts. But I picked the names from the keyframe animation list. Fsds2 processed the aircraft and sure enough when I pressed the spoiler key nothing happened.
