Would anyone of you designers out there be able to speculate how LAGO got their F16 afterburner to look the way it does.....? I have no wish to copy exactly, but I'm interested in their method so I can apply this to future designs.

Dude I don't think anyone knows how LAGO does it. I have that Lago f-16 you are talking about. All that I can suggest is if your that interested in how they did it. Why don't you just take pictures of it at different angles and just draw it then use your drawing to create a 3D model on your computer. Now you can use it on your designs!  ;D

Loads of emitters and particles..........in the FX file.

Basically, they built it up in stages.
Rob knows more on this i would imagine.....
Similar to the burner we used on the B-1...

I got a video of it on the PC Pilot magazine the other month.

It seems really smooth but I'm not sure if it is activated by the throttle or rpm (or in fact whether it can be activated by throttle position in the xml gauge?).

Unfortunately I can't seem to grab a screenshot from Real Player...... :(
