I want to start using GMax, but I really know little about it.  If anyone out their could give me some tips for a guy just starting out, or a web site that helps out newbies, it would be great.

#1 - Read and do the tutorials - they help you get the feel of  the program.

#2 - http://www.freeflightdesign.com has a loadfull of tutorials and/or links to tutorials.  Caution - MOST are not for the "I just loaded gmax and I want to build a model" folks.  Most presume a reasonable working basic knowledge of the program.

#3 - Once you go throught the default tutorials, definitely do the "Stupid Idiot's Guide to Gmax"
