I am some what new with Gmax.
On export of model I keep geting this mesidge?
"MakeMDL was not found, of failed to convert the model
specified in 'C\Program Files\MS Games\FS2002\aircraft\aircraft\Plane\Model\fuse_1' to a .MDL file.
Check your system path to ensure MakeMDL is on it."
I have done that.
I have exported a model before and had no problem
with it.

Check the error log (a text file) which will describe the type of error that's going on - probably "co-located vertices" ...
check
http://thegreatptmd.tripod.com/ in the "information" button for possible errors and fixes.

Thank you.
It said ERROR: Invalid X file: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FS2002\aircraft\aircraft\Plane\Model\Fuse_1.
What does that mean?

I went to the WinXP Control Panel "Regional and Language" dialog and in the "Customize" section of that there is a decimal point drop-down choice... was frustrated for a bit, because there seemed to be no other option than a point! >:( After some wall-banging I tried simply selecting and then replacing the point with a comma... voila!... all the error log messages about "colocated" vertices went away. :D
Now the error log simply says:
"Error in exporter: Mismatch between # vertices (272) and # normals (288 ) in part Pilot."
Okay... so, I added a Normal modifier to that part and checked "Unify" etc... no dice... now I'm back to twiddling an Optimize modifier and its spinners... (Jeez what a fight!) >:(
