Is there any way to modify the .cfg to make all the doors open at the same time. I have been having problems with a plane that has more than 1 exit installed. the Readme.txt told me to press shift+e+2 but that just closes the main door and opens the radio stack.
If that is not possible is there any way that the exit can be operated under the tailhook control

I'm not sure if this is possible.

Try hitting Shift + E, then hitting 1, 2, 3, 4 etc  (Keyboard not Numberpad) separately to open other exits.

What airplane/file model is it?

It sounds like you're holding down the shift key, so that FS is seeing "shift-e, shift-1" instead of "shift-e" (release) then "1"'

There are several other things that may be happening - the aircraft.cfg may be "prepared" for four exits, but the model really only has one? etc. etc.  Without knowing the specific model/file it's hard to make a specific response.

It does the same thing, with and without the num lock light on.

Please forget Num Lock & the Number Pad keys. The numbers you want are the ones on the keyboard itself, above the letters Q, W, E etc. Hit Shift + E first. Then release Shift + E & hit the key(s) to open whichever exit(s) you want to open. You must do this within a fairly short time period for it to work.

I found a section thaty says
[exits]
number_of_exits=4
exit_rate.0=0.1                               ;Percent per second
exit_rate.1=0.05                              ;Percent per second
exit_rate.2=0.2                               ;Percent per second
exit_rate.3=0.2                               ;Percent per second
wouldn't the answer be in here somewhere

These entries define the number of functioning exits in the particular MDL. I don't thinks it's possible to modify them. The doors might not open if you change anything.

This may not be related to this exact issue but if the aircraft has XML gauges either for cockpit or triggering vortex effects or smoke it apparently can can cause any exit other than the main (1st one) not to animate - I too have the same as you with regards to symptoms and I believe the cause of mine is the use of XML gauges.

Hope this helps others. If it doesn't sorry! ;D
