Opinon: New DSB Design Project

Postby David Brice » Thu Mar 13, 2003 9:53 pm

Guys...just want your feedback on something...

I'm close to releasing the Eurofighter pack as freeware within the next week or two....(textures for 16 models take a long time! lol)

Anyway, I'm thinking of my next model....I was thinking of making a freeware Vulcan as a few groups are throwing out payware ones...

Fair play to Phoenix..their model looks the best so far, but I'm wondering if the community needs a freeware vulcan or would the seemingly increasing number of payware models, from phoenix, alphasim etc will dampen this issue.

Thought's would be appreciated.

David.

David,

Personally, i think you should strive forward with the Vulcan as a freeware, i know TLUK are going to produce one, but the competition isnt an issue as far as i see.
The version that PSS are going to produce will be quite a package i'm sure, but look at how many good vulcans there are out there.......................ignore Graham Waterfields FS98 version.........still looking?????
You wont find any. The VFR one was a huge let down as far as quality is concerned.
Stick to your guns and go for it, TLUK have alot of projects on the go at the moment, i'm sure their Vulcan will be good from the screenshots i have seen so far, but i know yours will be better(hehe).
If you choose not to do the Vulc. maybe consider the Valiant.
Howabout a Gmax Nimrod MR2 or the ill-fated AEW.
Whatever your decision, i'm sure it will be the right one.
Need drawings/plans, give me a shout............

Take care

I'll be building something different.... :)

I've got something nice in the pipeline....the Shackleton..!

Maybe I'll ask AJ to have a go at the vulcan...he's done a fab job on the Tonka.!

That's a nice model you people got there.

BTW, how good are you people when it comes to making DVCs? Right now, I am trying to make a DVC for the F-117/A Have Blue model. This is as far as I can go when it comes to making active gauges in the cockpit:

Don't worry about the distortion you people see on the panel. It's natutal.

Can you people help me from here?
