Dumb Question About FSDS -> FSDS2

I currently have the original FSDS and am thinking about upgrading (when depends on when I get the Credit Card paid down a little).  But if I were to start creating an aircraft in FSDS can it be imported to FSDS? And with little hassle at that?

FSDS1 models can be imported into fsds2 but when importing aircraft animator tags (which fsds2 makes redundant) get lost. My F15's were started in fsds1 and finished in fsds2 with all the bells and whistles added.

So... You are saying, I can create them in FSDS1... But I should wait to do the animation in FSDS2? I know for animation you have to Aircraft Animator (which I have)... But, does the new FSDS2 incorporate the animator with it? So, what I am asking... I don't have to buy a new version of Aircraft Animator in addition to FSDS2? Thanks for the help.

FSDS2 uses the native forms of animation for FS2K, CFS2 and FS2K2. No other animator is required.

Plus there are many more different animating options in fsds2 including gear compression, canopies etc etc.
