Say I have a certain gauge or instrument I want to put on a VC panel, but I need to mask part of it. I.e., the instrument I want to use is square but I need it to look round. How would I do that? I pretty much no how to do it with the 2D panels but not sure on the VC, which is what I use 99.999% of the time.

Be careful!.... ;) ....

FS Panel Studio is designed to only modify the 2D panel.

The VC Panel is the original panel constructed by the designer of the aircraft, and is part of the complete model!
The instructions in the FS Panel Studio point out that fact.
Quote:
"Keep in Mind...
While FS Panel Studio can be used to perform some editing of gauge placement in Virtual Cockpits, VCs are primarily implemented in the model.cfg file, which defines 3D geometry which cannot be edited in FSPS".
End quote.

Paul.....With FS Panel Studio... :D ...!

Fspanel studio can also add gauges to an $ panel, fs panel studio can't place gauges on any place in the vc

I don't have an issue installing a gauge on a VC panel; I know how to do that. What I need to be able to do is once I have said gauge on the panel, I need to be able to mask part of it in order to make the square shape of the gauge appear round.
