Hey, here are some pics that show a few suggestions that I have (I don't have a 787 for my FS9 yet, and I want a good one =p).
Plus, I know you aren't completely finished, but I want to make sure that if I buy the payware version that I get a fricken sweet one ^^. (Don't forget, I've never made something with G-Max before, so you're always gonna be ahead of me.)

Thank you very much for your efforts!!  :D

I haven't realized this, though the fuse isn't finished yet.

I'll need to check if the 3-view data is correct.
I wonder if they are - they're from Boeing!

best,
rev

PS: I don't think I'll give the free version a lower exterior model,
that'd be too much work to set quality down after having had much work with it.  :-/

So I'll leave out some VC details, less airline painting shemes, no repaint kit files which I'll include in pay-version
- or something else like that.

Wondering what secrets my 3view files will show up.........  ;)

The model looks fantastic Rev.

But if I'm honest. Going down both the freeware and payware route is wrong (in my opinion).

If you do make a high quality model, and even release it as freeware, even with a few extra perks. I doubt many people would justify making a purchase for something that is only marginally better than the freeware version.

Plus, about releasing the paintkit to only the payware purchasers. Surely you want as many paints as you can get to make your model popular? Letting some of the many talented painters out there do it for you is probably a much better idea that restricting it to only the people who bought it.

If I was you (however, I'm not) I would release the model either as payware or freeware, not both. And also (although it does look good) this is only your first model, so there may be some hiccups along the way, doing a project such as this and releasing it as freeware you will gain a few crucial skills that you could incorporate into your next payware product, that way your payware product would be superior due to your previous experience with your freeware one  ;)

And in all honesty, people will be much more willing to give you help on a freeware project than a payware one  ;)

You're right... I can just agree with you,
but these are important decisions.
I think I'll sleep a night over it!  ;)

Thank you very much for these philosophic tips  8-) - but like I said, they're true!  :D

I haven't decided about free- or payware, yet, but have got some results with the other problem.

Thank you Alex very much. I scanned some other drawings from FlugRevue and used them as backdrops.
You're right - I need to overwork the nose!
But there's also some other thing with the tail that lets my brain work....

As you can see, I always used the boeing's version. (blue lines on top of right drawing is fuselage).
Should I keep refering to the left tail version or the right one?

From the one I saw in Everett, the tail went into the space you mentioned, like those plastic toys, where you insert it and then click it back. But I only saw the exterior, not the interior.

So it was correct to shape the rear fuse half with the left pictures?! good-good...

For the interior there are enough photos or computer-modelled images out everywhere.
And there will come more - the only existing interior things by now are mock-ups, not built-in in a 787 yet.

But the most important news for today: ;)

Project 7-8-7 goes FREEWARE !

Would the interior be like the real 787?
Also, will the 787 interior have effects like tray tables, walking around, etc compatible be with FSX?

Well now, I completely overworked the fuselage in Y-shape, which you can see below.
The vertices should sit perfect now, but if you see something, please tell me.  ;)
Tomorrow I'll then overwork the X-shape (top-view) which also needs some more work.

I added some basepaint to it, know it looks ugly but it helps seeing some special details (i believe so).
Please don't care of the pixel errors, I made this within 2 minutes....  ;) and it was only wrapped as this works the fastest...  ::)
Of course not the final way to texture it... :D

Looks fantastic! A Cabin is always welcome IMO...You need to have the fun factor as well in FS9...LOL...I think by tray tables he means if they will move when the key is pressed just like the MelJet's... ;)
