Any guides on how to create a helicopter?

Virtual cockpit?

I'd like to eventually do my own Bell 407.

Hi all

I too was once a very short time ago' a wan't to be a beginer with GMAX. Then I read the idiots guide. well there I learnt that I wasn't an idiot at all' but what ever comes before idiot. So after takining my time to find out that I was what I was. I moved too FSDv3. Now I have one aircraft, and one ai sailboat of my own design, in my sim. Thanks too the help files included with FSDv3. Now I'm a idiot in Gmax, and improving fast. I now have the know how too use GMAX, and my first aircrafts fuslarge is complette along with its windows, thanks too the Boolean tool, and thanks to FSDv3 help files. Its fun working in two Programs at the same time. Cheers Fellix the idiots guide to GMAX is just fantastic.

Frank.

Before the SIG, there are the in-built tutorials and the user reference. Don't try to build something as complex as an aircraft from the get-go. I would advise beginners to do the in-built tools and have a side project like a building, some scenery landmark (a bridge for example) to apply some of the techniques they have learnt from the tuts.

You must also be able to look for information by yourself and not wait that a tut will spoon-feed you everything.
Hence the use of the user's reference (the programme's help files).
Be patient, it will not come in one day. But, especially at the beginning, you must practise the programme regularly, otherwise you'll forget what you learn and you will not make any progress.

I've had gmax installed since version 1.0 came out with FS2002Pro.  It is NOW that a real live *all-gmax*1 airplane looking model is magically appearing on my computer screen.   ;D

1 as opposed to a model/part ported over from FSDS, abused, and ported back...
