Large Scale 737-??? 3-View

Postby Travis » Thu Apr 16, 2009 9:58 pm

I've been cruising the net trying to find a large 737 3-view, but have been unsuccessful so far.  Anyone have one, or know where I can acquire one?

Have you looked here?

http://www.boeing.com/commercial/airports/3_view.html

You may have to convert a .dwg file to a dxf file, but there are quite a few such converters available via google search.

I have one about twice the size of the one Felix has, but it's a simple line drawing.  His has more detail and I would suggest using it.  If you have Genuine Fractals or some such program, you can increase the image size...

Thanks to you both, Bill and Felix.  I got a bug under my bonnet (so to speak) and want to get the Stark Jet from Iron Man flying.  There were enough requests for it back when the movie first hit theaters, so I thought I might give it a go.

Travis,

There is a serious hole in freeware 737s - there is no -100 out there at all - so maybe you could ... maybe ... think about that after the Stark Jet ... ?

From a 737 addict!

Well, unfortunately, this will all be a long way off.  I'm still getting used to modeling a jet at the moment.  Much more complicated than anything I've done yet.  We'll see where I am in a month.  I'll let you know at that point how I'm feeling about all of this.

I'll give the exterior model a go if someone else will do the cockpit.  I think I'm a pretty fair modeler, but this cockpit thing is kicking my a%^$&^!
