Here is a trick for those who've never tried it...

Take your 3-view bitmaps and create negative images from them.

Apply those "negative images' to the Opacity slot in your Max/GMax Material instead of using the Diffuse Color slot.

Your drawing will show up as "lighted wires" and the background will be completely invisible. You can also adjust the "color" of the "lighted wires..."  8-)

I have a question, what do you mean by negative image?


Felix already nailed it, but in Photoshop you would simply select Image/Adjustments/Invert to create the negative.  If your original was already 'colored,' then you'd make it Grayscale, convert back to RGB, then do the Image/Adjustments/Invert bit...  8-)
