WIP: PT-19A Cornell

Hi All

I'm making a Pt-19A Cornell, i want to make the plane so acurate as possible, for that i want make a good prop,

the problem that i see is the transition beetween the hub and the prop itself.

Any idea is wellcome

Besides I need more pics of the cockpit, i already have see the walkarounds of http://www.primeportal.net/home.htm , for that i want to ask if someone have pics to share

The model is still on the first stage of the work

Very nice looking prop!   I like the lines, and the historic value hits me . . .

As far as the prop transition, take a look a the pic you posted:

Instead of using polys to model that transition, try using textures that will fool the eye.  That gray line can be utilized .  It shows the definition of the separation, so that you don't have to model the entire sculpted part, but only the texture difference.  After all, the prop standing still won't be visible for the flight unless the aircraft is sitting on the ground, and even then, the prop won't be a close-up.  It'll be a part of the pic, so you can sort of flub the modeling.

I would recommend that you don't include any detail unless its in the VC, since it would be extraneous unless you are sitting a couple of feet from the aircraft.
