Landing gear drag..

Postby Brett_Henderson » Sat Jul 22, 2006 2:35 pm

I've just noticed that several add-on planes (including my own) don't experience any drag when the gear are lowered...

I opend the air files with AirEd and found the entry for landing gear drag coefficient, but changing that number has no effect.. either way..

Anybody else experience this.. Or know the fix ?

is here the Boeing 727 Ill presiate your comment is important to me,I think It brakes too much you have to increase all the throlles to the maxuimun at 40% flaps to not get in Stall,so please try it and tell me is it correct

Brett_Henderson I forgot Air.Ed is good in almost everything but there a little things that you can handle better with the FS2002 aircraft editor It works for FS9 though perfect,.. that little bastard is pretty good Included inside the first disk is very helpfully ,you don't have to install fs2002 just seach in the first (I think)disk check every folder ,Is more explicit, very usefull

I use them both air ed & aircraft editor

Yes.. I know..  I use the old FSEdit to make the original air file and aircraft.cfg file. But after that.. I edit the air file with AirEd and just use plain old NotePad to edit the aircraft.cfg file.

I'm just confused as to why changing the landing gear drag coefficient entry using AirEd has no effect.

By drag.. I mean:  The plane should slow down noticeably when the gear are lowered. It happens on some planes and not others.. I'm trying to figure out why.
