WIP Gotha

Postby gryshnak » Mon Jun 05, 2006 5:00 pm

After a learning exercise (a Fokker Eindekker) this is my first proper build in FSDSv3, a Gotha G.IV bomber.  WIP obviously, it still needs little details added (engines, wheels, rudder, crew etc).  Plenty more to learn yet but I'm having fun with it  ;D

Progress report

The Gotha now has a bit of cockpit detail, not sure how far I'll go with this since there aren't many G.IV cockpit reference photos to be found!

And it now has a rudder as well  ;D

Have a look here, only small photos of a model, but it seems pretty detailed.

Thanks, I hadn't seen that before.  A couple of years ago I was going to build a R/C model of this plane, about 72" span.  I gathered my reference material but had to abandon the project because I simply don't have anywhere to put a model that big!

Sort of looks like a military version of the Vicker Vimmy.
