Actually, his questions only appear easy to answer, but can really be extended to practically a full blown tutorial and "how to model" essay.
*I* feel that the FSDS3 tutorials and exercises are pretty much concise and direct explanations, as are the tutorials at FSPlaza, etc. (not surprising as Graham did most of the tutorials).
However, I wonder if this may be a case of wanting to run before being able to walk?
Does Toby understand that required reading for FS9 modelling is in fact the makemdl SDK?
There are stock/default animations, controlled only by the part name and part pivot/axis and the appropriate entry in the aircraft.cfg; then there are key framed animations, in which the modeller needs to specify the correct part name, in accordance with the SDK, possibly an aircraft.cfg entry and model the animation in the model itself.
FSDS3 exercises show several examples of each of the animations he questions.
THere is more thought neede to answer this question properly.
