Project Nissan - I

Update

Textures:

The interior textures are basically complete. They are comprized entirely of photos [with really good angles] that were gathered all over the net. These textures, and the parts within them, will help me determine how to best model certain parts of the interior model.

Visual Model:

Work has now begun on the model itself. As usual, as starting at the front-left side of the car using poly-modeling*. Since I managed to remove the ratty appearance of the textures in Gmax, I am able to make better alignments each vertex without having to guess. Soon enough, I'll then model the front fender. The fender will be teadious.

Screenshots:

There won't be any screenshots until I finish the main skin of the car itself.

*For those who don't know what Poly-modeling is, it's the slow process of modeling any object one polygon at a time. This allows developers to overcome complex shapes.

Well, I decided to post some screenies of the new project since the skin of the model is about 70% done.

The first two images show the complexity of the front fender.

This shot gives you a rough estimate on how many polys the project will have once finalized.

At this point, there is no estimate as to when the project might be finalized.
