exporting model into fs9

Postby crawl55 » Thu Jan 27, 2005 8:38 am

I am working on a rotorway exec 162 for fs.  well, when I try to export it to the sim, makemdl tells me that my verticies are too close togther.  is there any way to fix this with out optimizing the model.  The reason I ask is because there are some fairly small parts and if I optimize them they willl lose shape.

for co-located vertices, go to the offending part (as listed in the log file created), and in vertex mode, select the vertices (if you can identify them) or select ALL vertices in the part and weld them.  repeat as necessary, increasing the weld tolerance as necessary.  You may have to do this several times, but it's better than, as you say, optimizing the model.
