As far as I can recall, that means you have (9) vertices on an object and (0) polygons or faces on it.  FS will not recognize that as a part, so the export program for Gmax assumes its an error.  Try finding the offending part and examining it, or replacing it as necessary.

I would also recommend that you (and ANYONE using Gmax) go out and find a great couple of plugins for it:

Middleman by Chris File
http://thegreatptmd.tripod.com
or
http://takeoff.to/landing

MDLCommander by Doc Moriarty
http://hometown.aol.de/_ht_a/docmoriart ... index.html
(Click on FREEWARE at the top, then scroll down and click GO TO DOWNLOADS, then MDLCommander on the left)

These two programs allow you to access certain parts of the MakeMDL process that are normally set by the program.  It allows for much easier and more accurate model creation.  It also gives you access to the error files, which will help you determine exactly where the problems are occuring.  Read more about them at their respective sites.

what are your computers regional and language options (in xp: start - control panel - date, time, ... - regional and language options)?

if i remember correctly, using comma as separator for decimal values can cause similar error messages. select "customize" in "regional options" and change decimal symbol to dot.

Just an FYI, if you plan on exporting scenery, Middleman will cause problems in the xml file. Its best to only consider using MDLCommander when working with scenery.

Thanks guys!  I finally got the heli to export by using the Middle man utilities.  Now, however, I can't get the virtual cockpit to work, my eyepoint is screwed up, and the heli sinks into the apron whenever I start.
I understand that I need an interior file to use a virtual cockpit.  Shouldn't I just need to group all the components that I want to show up in the vc together and call the group "interior?"  That is what I did and it still tells me everytime, that no interior model is found.  Also mdlcommander gives me an error saying that it is missing a file (I keep forgetting to figure out exactly which one).
I tried messing around with the eyepoint in the aircraft config file but after an hour I gave up on that.  It puts my up on top of the bird everytime.
As far as the sinking into the apron, it will still let me taxi around and such.  It is more frustrating than limiting.

Just to let everyone know, I am modifiying the Rory Kelly Pave Low to make it more like the real thing (I got permission from John to do this btw).  So far I have completly redone the vc panel and put in a new standard view panel, repainted the navy markings and lightened the paint to closer fit the Air Force paint scheme.  I still can't get the tail number to show up where I want it to though.  I also reskined the collective handle with the real one, as well as redressed the pilots in our flight suit and SARVIP.  I am also in the middle of placing the flight engineer in his seat.  I plan on next, adding the miniguns and .50 cal.  Oh, another problem I am having is that I can't make the ramp stop at the level position (which is where we fly around at all the time).  Do you add a "key" for that?  Sorry so many questions but I am just learning how to use gmax.

Okay.  I figured out how to work the ramp.  I am pretty sure my eyepoint is fixed (I am waiting to for the model to package).  I still sink into the apron when I am sitting on the ground, and I still have no VC.  Well, put it like this, I have no gauges in the cockpit.  I can now at least see a cockpit.

when you have grouped interior and exterior models, check where groups pivot points are. their position affects your  eyepoint and the contact point heights and can make you sink into ground if they are set incorrectly (the pivot points, that is).

for vc gauges there are good tutorials (my super king air 300 allready has vc + gauges  ;D )
, sorry, i don't remember where and i don't have time to find them just now.

Check the FSDS tutorials for a really good tute on VC creation.  Link in my signature.

How you make the interior/exterior in gmax depends on whether you're modelling for FS2002 or FS004.

For FS2004 you don't "group" per se, but rather create two dummies "interior" and "exterior"

All your exterior parts are children of "exterior" and all interior parts, of "interior" (all other parent/child links remain untouched).
