Oooooh! A newbie!

Well, everything you see in FS as far as the aircraft and the Virtual Cockpit are part of the model, so you can't take bits and pieces and move them around. Wish you could, it would make things a lot simpler . . .
What you might want to do is go take a look at the software around the net available for model creation. The two main programs are Gmax (freeware) and Flight Sim Design Studio (payware).
Gmax comes with FS2002 and FS2004, so you wouldn't even need to download it. But I would recommend you take a look at the top of this forum and check the FAQs on aircraft design. When I first started, I couldn't use Gmax to save my life, now I can do anything with it.
FSDS is a less powerful tool, but the interface and usablility for the uninitiated is a little friendlier.
It just depends on your preferences.
