MSFS format for writing import/exporter

Postby Lywyllyn » Thu Sep 16, 2004 5:47 pm

I would like to write an importer/exporter for MSFS files into my modeler.  Where can I find the spec/file format?

Any tips you can give me?

My apologies if this has been answered ad nauseum.  My connection is so crappy that a search seems to take days.

Cheers,

Actually, I can't recall ever having seen this question before . . . ???

This means (I assume) that you are creating a 3D modelling program, is that right?

I think the closest you will get is the MDL format SDK based on the FS8 engine. Look here for the SDK.

Thanks again.
