I'm attempting something a little different, just for a change ;) and I'm hoping to use the tailhook animation to do something clever with a helicopter... I'm also hoping that this part will animate in FS2002 (and FS9) without you having to press the pause key first! Is there a way to turn off the rather silly and pointless "Tailhook extending..." message? I'd like to turn 'em ALL off if possible. Wing folding, doors etc.

To my knowledge this can not be done. But I could be wrong. I sometime use the tailhook to lower landing lights the B737- series has landing lights in the wing plyons It would be nice if you could change the message to say landing lights extended or raised. The wing fold is used to open cargo doors also so a change of that message would be nice as well. But I think were stuck with what we have for now.

Hi
Yep its reasonably easy to do ya just need to edit the language.dll.I use reshacker
http://rpi.net.au/~ajohnson/resourcehackerIve got a moded dll file which removes all the messages so FS9 is closer to "real as it gets"

If you want it shoot me an email or Pm
