Tricycle Gear Balanceing

Postby LeviMan » Sat May 01, 2004 2:41 pm

I've got a reall awsome plane in the making (I don't think it's real though) but it's a tricycle gear and I don't know how to blance tricycle gears. And don't say just move the center gear contact to the back cuse' i tryed that and then it fell on it's face and the tail was still too hevey in flight so it always stalls.  [glb]>:( man I'm so dang anoyed with this.[/glb]

Assuming your center of gravity (COG) is at 0,0,0, where are your contact points set?

What are your weight stations (if any), where are they set in relation to the COG.

Where is (are) your fuel tank(s) set in relation to the COG?

Is your airplane type set to "tail dragger"?

That's for starters.

What modelling program are you using?

My contact points are set like a tricycle gear

How do you set weight stations?

How do you set fuel tanks?

and how do you change it from tail dragger to tricycle gear?

Also I haven't evean thought about cfg editing or air and i'm useing fsds. :-(
