Weight and Balance modification

Postby jay_the_pilot » Sat Jan 17, 2004 4:38 pm

I've recently downloaded the Diamond Katana that was just released for FS2004 (which is very good except it is a framerate eater-upper).  I really like the model, but unfortunately there is only one weight station.  Does anyone know how to modify this to configure it for a pilot, passenger and baggage?

Open the aircraft.cfg file of the Diamond Katana and look at the Station Load section.

From there, you can add a station load. However, you will need to refer to either the FS2002 SDK's [aircraft container] or you can use the templates that are already available on the Aircraft directory of FS9 or FS2002.

FS9 uses the same principles as FS2002. so this should be no problem for you.

The Templates contain their own aircraft.cfg files.

Since you are modifying an existing aircraft, you should only use the templates for information use only because they tell you how each number goes.
