Did somebody - who shall remain nameless - cloned a part and used the mirror tool instead of converting to editable mesh and applying a mirror parametric modifier?

The screenshot was fixed - that's one sick puppy you have there... I haven't come across that one before.

Is everything tagged?  If so, what happens when you move the control surfaces?

If your parts are in their proper place in Max but not in FS I suspect the axis for these parts are way out of wack. Hopfully you haven't spent a lot of time doing animations yet. First make a backup copy of your scene. You need to realign the axis for those parts via the Hiearchy panel > Affect Pivot Only button selected and then Center to Object and Align to World. Next apply an Xform Reset Modifier to each of the "out of place" parts from the Utilities panel, then colapse that parts modifier stack.
