Well that's a lot like asking what do you make food with? There are all kinds of objects and methods to do this.

Are you talking about models in FS or models as in Radio Control and static?
[center]I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday. ;)

I think you should add FSDS and FSDS2 to your list, they seem to be almost as common as GMAX.

For the most part, flightsimmers use gmax or FSDS.

I've seen some starting in Rhino and converting to either FSDS or gmax for the finishing touches.

F has been looking over my shoulder I guess... ;)

Rhino2 > MAX5 > FS...

Rhino doesn't do animation in version 2 (can't afford the new one) and the texturing part is a bit too cumbersome to me...apart from that, I just love NURBS modelling, a part that max is not that good at, and Rhino is the top tool for NURBS...but off course, just IMHO...
Pilots are the best computers we can put aboard aircraft, and the only ones that can be massproduced with unskilled labor..

I kinda think of it as drilling a hole in a piece of wood. Some of us can make do with something as simple as a brace and bit or an old hand crank, others would use a hand held variable speed electric and yet someone else wouldn't attempt it with anything less that a drill press... (Geeze what I wouldn't give to have a workshop like Norms, if you know who I mean ;D)... LOL. You use what you know can get the job done and what learning comes easiest to you. No tool is any good unless the person using it has developed the skills and understanding of it capabilities to use that tool. The bottom line is when you are making an object, in the end, all you have are points connected by edges to make polygonal surfaces. Oops, time for the Series!!!
