Reassigning textures..

I'm trying to reassign the textures from the Thunderbird F-16 to the Viper F-16 (same plane, different textures) and all I'm getting is the blank model.  Can someone tell me what I'm missing?

First, the orginal plane is 1-4, just like this...

try
instead of:
texture=texture.2  

write
texture=2
