after i have created a model in gmax how do i make it an mdl file for cfs2

Read the post above -- to my understanding FS and CFS2 models are the same

For CFS2 ...
While the process is similar to FS2002 (in that you DO need the FS2002 Pro converter) you have to fiddle a bit to get the proper CFS2 model format.
