I googled this and could not find an answer.  What is the difference in dram timing mode of N1 or N2.

Nick had me set mine at N1 and I saw some other dram the other day that had N2 and I got to wondering what the difference is.

Yeah, I did a bunch of looking for that, and got nowhere but in circles (Google results in everything from Engine RPM N1 & N2 to Tiger Woods cheating on his wife). Wish I had something to help a guy out with, but no luck here...

Yea, when you post and do not get an answer pretty quick it usually means nobody knows the answer or has an opinion.

You know that when no one even has an opinion on this site then the question pretty much came out of left field someplace.

I see Speed of Flight that we have the same MB and case manufactures!  Goes to show you that even die hard AMD/ATI and Intel/Nvidia fans can have common ground!

Again, great job with that OC! Is it stable 24/7? How bout your temps? Did you go to liquid, or you still on air? I'm using that Transformer 4 HSF with 2 opposing 120 mm fans on it. I wonder if I can get them to spin up hard to counter the heat this thing would make @ 4.2 GHz...

It is stable, I ran OCCT for one hour, Prime95 Blended test for eight hours and 20 passes of Linx 0.6.4 at a problem size of 25,000.

Right now my core idle temps are around 45C and FSX jumps them up to around 70C.  When stressing with OCCT and Prime95 they were running around 76C, but Linx put them up to 83C.  The 83C is acceptable to me since the test only ran an hour and it was not a constant 83C.

I am on air for cooling, I am using a Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme.  The stock fan for this cooler is rated at 1,600 RPM and 64 CMF, I just ordered a new fan for it last night that is rated at 4,000 RPM and 150 CMF.  I will probably only run it at 2,000 RPM unless stress testing then I will let it rip at 4,000 RPM.  Hopefully the new fan will bring my temps down to 80C or under when stressing with Linx.  The new fan will be louder, but hopefully not to much.

I saw your thread about wanting more speed out of your CPU.  I do not know if this will tell you anything that you have not already read, but I hang out at overclock.net and they have an AMD forum, maybe there is something over there that can help you get more speed out of your Phenom.

I've been watching these forums for a long time now, and there are lots of helpful people here, like yourself.

I will check that out, and see what I can do. I got it to 4.114 GHz right now, but still have to find out where to adjust voltages here and there to get higher. I can't get it to run both the CPU tests in 3dmark 06 without crashing during the 2nd one. It's really busy, but soes fine on all the other tests. I have my CPU voltage on auto and it puts it @ 1.475. I think I can go just a tad higher, but I think 4.2 may be asking a bit much. Dunno, but I'll keep trying.
