Using RivaTuner, I think I have a fan speed profile set up for my 8800GTS.

sounds okay to me - you can go up to 50c with most chippies.

That sounds fine....my 285 frequently gets a lot higher than that

From 42 all the way to 45?

I idle at 55 and max out above 80.

You have no problem at all.

Very cold infact.

Should overclock it.

Mine Idles at 32 and goes up to 38 under load, 42 Max

Sounds like very good temps.
My 9800GT idles at 50C and gets to 81C under heavy load. (Auto fan setting)

Fan speed and core temp.
