Overclocking halp

Postby Slotback » Thu Nov 20, 2008 2:01 am

Hey guys

*Original questions removed*

Would a P35-DS3P run at 333mhz FSB still at 266 strap? Or need more MCH voltage?

Thanks.

a P35 assuming the BIOS is wel made will have 400Hz ability with straps up through 400

how stable it runs depends on the processor, memory and user

Nice, got to 3ghz now with not a single problem. 58 load, 36 idle with power saving options enabled - not bad for 1.325 VID on stock cooling. Cooler than stock infact.

you will never run tRD4 unless you are a liquid nitrogen overclocker and dont mind replacing memory sticks from overvoltage burnout

tRD6 yes, 5 possibly but I doubt it... 4 is quite out of reach

Ran tRD 5 with no problems on stock voltage.

What's better...

266 strap, 4:5 DDR2-890 4-4-4-15, 356 x 9 = 3.2ghz

OR

266 strap, 1:2, DDR2-800 4-4-4-12, 400 x 8 = 3.2ghz

?

Thanks.

EDIT:

At 356 FSB, OCCT fails the test after a few minutes, it is not the memory or CPU.... do I need to add more FSB voltage, or more, FSB voltage?

tRD is in bios as 'static t read'. Should be that in Gigabyte mobos, even older ones.... I thought first board to have that option was the X48...?
