FPS boost

Hey, Im not well educated about computers, but I really want to boost my fps in FSX. Its really annoying when the game skips every couple of seconds and it has a slow frame rate as it is so I'm just wandering what I can do/buy to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, but I don't want to harm the computer in any way, Im looking for something you can buy like a graphics card for example which will enhance graphics, but instead of enhancing graphics, I want something that will enhance FPS. I know I said I'd do something buy something to fix the problem but I change my mind and I just want to buy to fix this.

Nothing in Dr. Needham's super tweak thread is gonna mess up or damage a system.  The tweak linked to wouldn't be a sticky at the very top of the FSX forum if there were anyone of the moderators who thought it was dangerous.

What the tweak does, in general, is free up resources so that FSX can utilise them.  The tweak helps my machine run EVERYTHING better, not just FSX.

So, in closing, do the do with Nick's tweak.  Do it all, in order and ask questions here if you need to or just don't understand something.
