Useing 1600 on DDR3 2000(OC)/1800(OC)/1333 Board

I am going to ask the people of SimV before I go ask anyone else about this issue.
I am using 2x2gb sticks of DDR3 1600 memory. The EVGA 790i Ultra SLI doesn't have compatibility with 1600 memory so it registers as 1.xxxx Gb. I assume this is an easy tweek.
What are the basic things to get 1600? I have seen people on other forums while browsing using my exact memory and board on 1600.
Thanks

That can vary from board to board and even BIOS to BIOS
your best bet is to contact Gskill, or, get into their forums and ask them how to enable the read on the memory with the motherboard you use. it is their responsibility to provide you with that information and if their product is not compatible with the chipset, offer you a refund right away

Got onto the EVGA forums and they provided me a bit of info.
When I first boot up the computer (no OS installed) to the black screen with white words it says I have approx 4,000,000K of Memory but in the FSB & Memory Config Menu in the BIOS under Actual MEM (DDR) says 1066.7 MHz with all settings set on Auto so I have 2 different types of information conflicting.
People have been replying to my post but they seem to assume that my memory sticks don't work and won't give me a straight answer to how to set up the stuff. I know there are people on their forums that run the same configuration as I do.

Here is one person's answer to I think the exact problem I had. I am not sure what happed though but I would like anyone who knows about timings to check it out.
Got it running stable.
Had to use 1.925v in bios for memory which reads as 1.91v in system monitor.
That voltage seemed to be the magic button for me. (at 1.9v system monitor would read 1.87v for mem in system monitor)
It runs stable 2x2GB = 4GB at:
1333 7-7-7-18 1TCPU 2.66ghz
1600 7-7-7-18 1T CPU 3.2ghz
1800 8-8-8-18 2T (Had to put cpu to 1.32v for stable benches) CPU 3.6ghz

I think I might have confused myself with "speed" and "amount". Going to go though the BIOS settings once again to get my story straight.

Do NOT overclock a system until everything is installed... NEVER overclock a CPU before installing Windows and drivers... Set the CPU back to default speed
I figured you were reading things wrong...
OK, so 1600 7-7-7-18 @ 1T That looks like spec to me
Now, after eveything is installed you can look at tweaking memory and CPU clocks. If you drop those sticks to 1333, you would try and drop CAS to 6 and then push the memory speed up using the STRAP and FSB but thats for later. Right now you need a stable system for installing, and that is all

I know I know I won't tweek anything.
I am just lurking around my BIOS until the OS is delivered.
