I know this is nit-picky

I have deleted some FSX aircraft basically because I have no interest in seeing them or "flying" them. The one that is causing the minor inconvenience is the Air Trike. Since I deleted it, I get an error saying something to the effect of "failure to intialize aircraft". I just click "OK" and I go to my usual aircraft (Cessna 172). Is there a change that I can make somewhere in the CFG or ??? wherever to get straight to the 172 or the J 3 Cub? Thanx in advance. Semper Fi, Dave

I wouldn't recommend deleting the default aircraft. This could lead to all sorts of problems & error messages.

You could delete the Panel folder from any aircraft you don't wish to use. (It might be better to rename the Panel folders to back them up.) This will convert them to 'AI Only' drones that will no longer be listed on the FSX selection menu. They can still be used for AI traffic.

PS. One drawback to this idea. Any aircraft with panels aliased to these aircraft will no longer be listed on the menu.

Thanx Hagar, I might just put the Air Trike in the "Misc" folder with the rest aircraft and label the panel as "panel.1" like rest of the aircraft that I have no interest in "flying" or even seeing. I guess it would be kinda cool to see a glider or a Trike in the air every once in awhile. I just wanted to see if anyone knew where I could change the default aircraft. I did word my post above kinda silly. Thanx for typing back. Semper Fi, Dave

I only have the FSX demo but it should be possible to do what I said in the full version. Set up a flight with whichever aircraft you like in Free Flight. You can also change the location, time , weather etc. Then click the Save button & save it under an appropriate name. Check the "Make this the Default Flight" option. Next time you start FSX this will be your default flight. No more error messages.
