I wouldn't think so, they wouldn't build an outdated OP SYS on purpose, SP2 improvements are inbuilt.

SP2 is, in effect, a newer Op Sys than Win XP.

There is no SP2 for xp x64 as of yet. Xp x64 was desgned/released after Xp x32 SP2 was released and therefore all the x32 SP2 fixes were incorporated. There is an SP1 for x64 which is specifically designed for x64. SP1 comes with the latest release of Xp x64.

Hi folks,
I'm new here but thought I would chime in a bit about the 64k edition. I'm a level II support tech and Level 5 hardware tech.. I recently had the pleasure of spending over 10 hrs. on the phone with MS level III regarding extended CMOS call blocking on XPSP2 and discussed upgrading to XP64k as a solution.

Don't wish to bring bad news, but THEY suggested shying away from 64k edition until they could address the current issues regarding this platform.

For now, I rolled everything back to XPSP2 and left it at that.  Seems, as usual, they marketed a green product. :-/

Hate to go "off topic" but wanted to reply...

Congrats to you Ramos! I usually don't like discussing levels because it implies "snobbery" of some sort or other. I'm an "old school" hand that cut my teeth in virus research and data recovery back in the days of DOS ver. 1.0 in the early 80's (gads I'm old!)  I actually have a working copy of this OS! LOL

An A+ cert would help you land a job at a level I call center and is a prerequisite nowdays... I hail back to the days when "certs" were (and still are in many ways) useless!  Take care friend...

They are a special issue that SimV gives some of us to wear. They never said why.    ???
