Frame Rate Problem

Postby Medboss » Thu Jan 26, 2006 12:18 pm

In FS 2004 when I go into a lesson I achieve a frame rate of between 30 and 40 sometimes as high as 50, the graphics are fantastic. When I create a flight or load a saved flight I am tickled to death to get 15, most of the time it is below 10 and the stuttering is unbearable. I have a 2.7 G centron with 1 G of memory and a g-force 5500 video card with 256 meg. I have tweaked until my brain hurts without success or change. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Get a real processer and GFX card. Sorry dude, but the celerons arn't built for gameing, and that card is far outdated. As a base ABSOLUTE MINIMUM you need a 6600GT preferably a 6800GT or X800Pro

There is definitely something wrong, though I never heard of that problem, it's a software problem with FS9 however and you might find a better response in the FS9 forum.

is this problem only occurs flying with major airports and with dense scenery or on every flight...if occurs on every flight than reinstallin the windows and flight simulator will only solve the problem...if occurs in dense areas or at major airports then you want a change in ur processor and gfx...thanks

Nah what he's running is fine, but you might wanna turn the settings down a bit! a better processer wouldnt hurt but hey, it should run about everything half if not a little more (my MX did about half to 75% up with Clouds completely off) Cheers, Gunny

Naw congo, the lessons are much easier on FPS than real flights. MS puts you in the most FPS friendly envirment possable. No I think this one is hardware.
