Hi guys!

1st post in this particular topic
my problem is I got a GF Ti4600  124 RAM with the newest driver avaliable, and my top resolution is 1024x768x32 60 MHz - and is quite smooth while flying, I got 20-25 fps always
but is there a way to increase the resolution, let's say to 1280x.... in order to make good shots????
if so, how?

thanx in advance

Hi Foo_Fighter, I think your problem is your monitor.

If I plug my FX5600 into my old (8yrs) monitor, it only supports 800x600, if I plug the same card into my current Dell monitor, I can goto 1600x1200!
Incidentally, with my FX5600, I've found very little differance performance wise between 800x600 & 1600x1200 its about 3 fps in FS2002 strange, I'd have thought it would have been more!

Paul.

daewoo has a factory nearby the place I work it's a huge complex, from microwaves to cars!

and Spidious, sorry for the delay it cost me about US$ 260.00 + my old monitor I think US$ 280.00 total including tax - quite a good deal unhn?
the image quality is absurd comparing to the normal ones, absolutly clear and very very fast, no fliker and the UV emissions are very low - my eyes won't hurt after a 5 hr of flight LOL!

foo_fighter:  I once look at getting a LCD, but everyone I talked to said that its great except for gaming. It seems that there is a ghosting effect that appears in the screen. Have you noticed anything of the sort?

Steve
not at all! crystal clear image!

U'll have to adjust the settings for image quality, performance -> games in the setup of the monitor
when U do this, everything is just fine!

Where did you find this monitor??? I have a 17" LG Flatron and it only goes up to 1280x1024.   I couldn't find any LCD monitors of 17" that go over this resolution.  But I would be very interested if I could.  Is there a site I can go to to see it??  ;D

Hi Gixer,

I've bought it here in Brasil from my usual seller, he has this hardware  store and he buys directly form Phillips_LG which are producing together monitors, TV sets, cel phones and others, the resolution can be that high but hurts deeply the performance, I think it's easy for U (US?) find this very monitor too!

Ok. I must be blind  :-[  I cant find a 17" with that res in any of the online shops I use in the UK.  Are you sure its an LCD monitor?    (Am i right in thinking TFT is LCD??)

I can find CRT monitors with this resolution but not LCD/TFT monitors   :'(   If I can get a higher res LCD/TFT though it would be cool.

Dont suppose you got any links to sites with info on your monitor have you foo?
