unforunately it turns out i dont have a xp cd. Only a recovery cd, so I cant do a reformat. (unless my windows xp sp2 disc i got free in the posts enough?)

The recovery cd can be used to refort your drive.

And no, the SP2-only cd won't work.

Now that must be quite low settings or my ram is reallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly holding me back. 70 FRPs I don't think so, I have settings totally maxed with 4X AA and AF at 8X and we are averaging 10-20 FPS here, 30s if im not in a dense area.... those custom setts are lowww

Hmm seems my RAm was th problem 30 FPS in Seattle ;D 8) :-*

No, those custom settings mean everything on high. Fs2004 doesn't have a generic high quality mode (like doom3's ultra or high modes), so its custom mode for fs2004. But trust me, they're very high.

It may be that your computer is different from their computer in terms of specs. The gfx may be the same, but something is different.
