I want to overclock help me please :)

Alright I have a 64bit 3200 athlon proccessor with a abit guru KV8. How can i overclock this? I put it into turbo mode but i can also customize it to. When i bring all the settings to full it freezes my comp. Thanks!

ahh forget it! every time i try it just freezes my comp and the temp of my comp goes to like 160 degrees so im not taking any chances with my new comp.

Sounds to me like you've already been taking chances! I'd leave well alone if I were you.

I could never understand this fascination with over-clocking processors...?
I have gone from a Pentium 486 DX100 long ago, to my present processor, AMD 2600XP, in gradual stages, up-grading as, and when, necessary.... ...!

Purchasing and installing a faster processor as a replacement seems to me much more reliable, and stable, than over-clocking the present processor and risk destoying it... ...!

...just my thoughts on the subject... ...!

Tanner, its probably your ram speed / ram timings that r stopping your PC from clocking more.
